Southern Nevada Zoological Park
The Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park is located at N Rancho Drive and Melody Lane.
For the size of Las Vegas, the zoo is surprisingly small--only 3-acres in size. The zoo is non-profit and admission fees and sales from a gift shop help support the zoo. Cages are mostly made of chainlink fence.

Robyn examining the goat exhibt. Just on the other side of the billy goat gruff bridge, a TV commerical was being filmed.
The zoo has some nice areas to sit and relax; these benches are located along the alligator tanks and not far from the Barbary Apes (the last family of Barbary Apes in the United States).
Every zoo seems to have flamingos near the entrance.
These emus are mean bastards! They will bite you!
A cute little wallabie.
The directions to where all the animals are located. The zoo has a fairly large collection of endangered species for its small size.
The dark and gloomy repitle house. The zoo features all the venomous reptiles native to Southern Nevada.
A lionness resting in the lion enclosure.
At the lion enclosure, a memorial to a long-time favorite resident of the Las Vegas Zoo--Arnie the lion, who died in 1997. For more info on the Las Vegas Zoo, click here for the zoo's website.
