Summer of '69Vegas or Bust

During the Summer of 2009, Downtown and the Fremont Street Experience warped back in time to 1969 with a hippie festival and free concert series.  Groups like the Guess Who, Blood Sweat and Tears, Bill Haley's Comets, the Grass Roots, Jefferson Star Ship and Three Dog Night were featured on select weekends on the large stage.  In this photo, the Summer of '69 bus located between the Golden Gate and the Vegas Club along Main Street.  The bus was used as a stage for musical groups.

All ten casinos along the Fremont Street Experience participated in the Summer of '69 celebration with special promotions and outdoor food and drink specials.
