Palms

The Palms opened on November 15, 2001 with the main tower (to the left) on Flamingo Rd--about a half-mile off the Strip.  The Fantasy Tower (to the right) opened in October, 2005.

The Palms caters to a young Los Angeles clientele as well as Hollywood celebrities; their main competitor is the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on the corner of Harmon and Paradise Rds.  The owners of the Sahara on the north Strip also appear  interested in a piece of this action, as well.

The world's only existing Playboy Club can be found in the Fantasy Tower (left).  Meanwhile, the renowned Ghost Bar is located on the top of the main tower (right) providing excellent views of celebrities, as well as the nearby Strip!

The world's only remaining Playboy Club is at the Palms.  In 2002 MTV's Real World: Las Vegas was filmed here; the suite that was built to accomodate MTV still exists and is available for reservations.  The Palms was owned by George Maloof, who also owns the NBA's Sacramento Kings.  A report on June 19, 2011 indicated that TPG Capital, which owns Caesars, injected some cash into the resort with other investors; the report indicates the Maloofs will retain an equity stake in the property.

The Palms Place tower--which had a soft-opening on February 29, 2008 and a grand opening on May 31st of the same year.  Palms Place is a 58-story hotel, condominium and spa tower.

Palms Place is located on the west-end of the Palms property.
