The Wynn & Encore

The Wynn and Encore.  Ground was broken on the $2.3 billion Encore during the first-year anniversary of the Wynn on April 28, 2006.  The Encore opened on December 22, 2008.  The Encore's theme is "Life Imitating Art".  Encore originally was to be an expansion of the Wynn, but ultimately became its own resort.

Wynn

The $2.7billion Wynn Resort and Country Club located in Paradise, NV.  Built where the famed Desert Inn once was located, the Wynn is a five-diamond hotel and covers 215 acres; the building is 614 feet high with 45 floors.  For two years, the Wynn held the record for being the tallest building on the Strip--replaced by the Trump--which itself, is being replaced by the Fountainbleau.

The waterfall in front of the Wynn--featuring some of the foliage that was preserved from the old Desert Inn Golf Course.

Part of the 3-acre Lake of Dreams built in front of the Wynn.  The attraction is built so that visitors must enter the building to be able to enjoy the waterfall curtain that flows behind the mountain; images are displayed on both the lake and the waterfall.  The show runs every fifteen minutes from 8:30 PM to 1:30 AM.
